Nightrain Music Venue - Bradford Resident Sound Engineer May 2019 to Mar 2020, 65 concerts including; Uli Jon Roth (Scorpions), Anvil, John Corabi (Motley Crue and Dead Daisies), Romeo’s Daughter, Graham Bonnet (Rainbow and Alcatrazz), Chris Slade (AC/DC and Timeline), Tyla’s Dogs D’amour, Skinny Molly (ex Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchett), Lost Angels (Current Alice Cooper, Slash’s Snakepit members), Midnight City, Quireboys, Oliver/Dawson’s Saxon.

Mike toured extensively with the eleven piece Chicago Blues Brothers initially handling front of house sound for a year and then subsequently being invited back with responsibility for logistics, lighting design & operation, and projection along with stage management for over 130 shows in many well known theatres throughout the UK, Europe and Scandinavia, notable bucket list venues included; Edinburgh Playhouse, Sheffield City Hall, Sunderland & Liverpool Empires, Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, Bristol Hippodrome and a hometown show at St. George’s Hall, Bradford. He frequently had to operate state of the art lighting consoles, including MA, Strand, Avolites and ETC usually working closely with in-house production staff and technicians. Between 2016 and 2018 he had the pleasure of working on several large auditorium and arena concerts with the band, including; Grieghallen in Bergen, Oslo Koncerthus and Stavanger Koncerthus Norway, Gdynia Arena and Atlas Arena Lodz, Poland and SSE Arena Belfast. Sound Alliance also supplied PA, lighting and sound engineering services for the Rock & Bike Festival - South Normanton, mixing for Saxon, Quireboys & Girlschool amongst others. Mike and close friend Barry Newby (Dezign Audio) were invited back a year later to do it again, this time for Lindisfarne, Toyah and Big Country.

Following an eight year collaboration with Michael Ford and the Bronte Blues Club team Sound Alliance were asked to again supply PA and engineering services for P&O Ferries inaugural "Blues Cruise" to Amsterdam in November 2015 and were invited back to handle sound once again, this time for the "Blues at Sea" cruise.

Mike also worked with ARFM Radio Leicester on their "Just Say Yes" concerts at The Spot in Derby headlined by Issa (Norway) and the following year for Hand of Dimes, Bailey, Blood Red Saints to name but a few.

In 2008 Mike left his long term career in architectural technical specifications sales management to take a year out to study Performance Design and Management at The Arden School of Theatre, part of Manchester University. Shortly afterwards he was approached to take over PA and sound engineering responsibilities for the Bronte Blues Club - Keighley. During his 8 year tenure he collaborated extensively with the venue and with internationally renowned touring artists from across Europe and the USA, celebrating his 100th concert at the venue in May 2015.

Victor Brox.
